Swayambhu is one of the world’s most glorious Buddhist Chaityas. It is said to be 2,000 years old. Painted on the four sides of the spire’s base are the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. It is situated on a hillock above the level of the Kathmandu valley and hence commands an excellent view of the valley. It is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Monument List.
The Stupa of Bouddhanath lies 8km east of Kathmandu. This is ancient colossal
Stupa which is one of the biggest in the world, and the centre of Tibetan Buddhism in the world. It is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Monument List.
Pashupatinath temple is also a UNESCO heritage monument.
Bhaktapur | Patan Durbar Square
Bhaktapur Durbar Square – The golden gate is the entrance to the main courtyard of the palace of 55 windows. The gate is one of the most beautiful and richly carved specimens of its kind in the entire world. This gate is embellished with deities and monsters with marvelous intricacy.
The balcony of the palace is a masterpiece of wood carving. There is a bronze bell on the terrace of the temple which is also known as the ‘bell of barking dogs’, which was rung to signal curfew during those days. It is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Monument List.
Patan is situated in the heart of the city and constitutes the focus of visitors attraction. The square is full of ancient palaces, temples and shrines, noted for their exquisite carvings. The Patan Durbar Square consists of three courtyards, one among which holds a masterpiece of stone architecture, the Royal Bath called Tushshity. Drive to Dhulikhel
Dhuli Khel is an ancient town situated 30 km east of Kathmandu on the side of the Arniko rajmarj. The newaari town of Dhulikhel offers a traditional atmosphere along with spectacular views. Once an important link in the ancient trade route to Tibet, Dhulikhel has a glorious past which can be seen in the lovely buildings and intricate wood carvings. Visit Namo boudha
It is situated on a hill above Panauti. It requires an easy drive or good walk to get there. There is an amazing legend related to Buddha which is commemorated by an ancient stone slab and a stupa with the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha.

Visit Changu Narayan | Narayanhity Royal Palace
Changu Narayan, said to have been built in 323 AD and is said to be the oldest temple in the valley.
The ancient temple of Changu Narayan is located on a high hilltop that is also known as Changu or
Dolagiri . It is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Monument List. Narayanhity Royal Palace is the palace where the royal massacre took place in 2009, when the king
and queen were assassinated. Foreigners are allowed to visit the palace.
