Climb High Himalaya is one of a number of Nepali companies offering treks, climbs and tours in Nepal, so why should you place your trust in us?
People – Climb High was started by Nepal’s most famous woman climber, Pemba Doma Sherpa, and her husband Rajen Thapa. Renowned in Nepal, Pemba was an indomitable spirit and the company has always been run with her high standards and principles.
The company is now run by Pemba’s brother in law, Amber Thapa, following the demise of both Pemba and Raj. Business advice and oversight comes from the UK with an old friend and colleague of Pemba and Raj, Steve Ranger, providing help and support and a point of contact should clients wish to discuss their trip with someone in the UK.
Groups – we specialise in organising tips for groups from Europe, the UK and the US and have organised many treks and climbs according to the requirements of operators in those countries – everything from simple treks to first ascents.
Track record – many of Climb High’s former clients are listed on the ‘About Us’ page – famous US climbers Joe Puryear, David Gottlieb and Chad Kellogg; legendary Polish climber Maciek Burbyka; the British Royal Army Medical Corps and many others.
Recommendations – all of the above groups and clients will happily recommend us; and we’ve been listed as the first ‘Tried and Trusted Operator’ in Nepal by the Independent in the UK – a major national newspaper.
We are happy to put you in touch with former clients who will recommend us, including:
Service standards – we work to western standards of service, particularly in personal delivery. Everyone appreciates that things in Nepal can be difficult to organise, but we keep you informed about what is happening. We turn up on time, keep you in the picture, and we do what we say we’re going to do. We don’t compromise on service, and consequently we aren’t the cheapest agency in Nepal – nor do we aim to be.
Base in Thamel – we have a modern, large, clean office in the centre of Thamel in Mandala Street with free wifi and a branch of Himalayan Java downstairs – what more is needed for a visit to chat about your trek?
So book with Climb High Himalaya and visit Nepal for the trip of a lifetime!
