I went to Nepal for the Everest base camp trekking alone in the winter time of 2014. Climb high organised a smooth and enjoyable trip for me which consider a lot about the adaptation of the high attitude for the people who live in sea-level, like Hong Kong. Amber is very helpful throughout the whole process of planning and during the trip. Other staffs, like Dawa, climbing guide Arjun and porter Nabin, also provide very high quality personal service and support during the trek and the extended stay in Nepal after the tour until I departed to home.
The Himalayas: Traveller’s Guide
No longer the domain only of serious climbers, the world’s mightiest mountain range also offers gentle walks, luxyry lodges, white-water adventure and wildlife.
The climb was very nice. Through the experience I gained from it and my previous climbs I think I am ready for something more challenging now.
I have climbed twice with Climb High… 1st one I arrived as a client only to leave as a friend, and second time as a friend only to leave as close friends with Climb High. Promptness, congeniality and flexibility were one of the many positives, in addition to standards like professionalism, problem solving ability and logistical perfection…
My first visit was in 2012 where I have completed the Annapurna Circuit after passing through the well-known Thorung-La Pass .In my second visit I raised the bar a bit more after gaining confidence with the help of climb high from the previous years activity; I have completed the legendary EBC trek , passing through many passes to name Cho-La, and climbing Gokyo-ri (5360), Kala patthar (5545m) and the Island Peak (6189m)in 19 days with exceptional flexible planning with Climb High, particularly with Amber Thapa… I am grateful and full of lifelong memories and willing to add many additional ones in the future as my job permits… I strongly recommend and hereby send my greetings to all my friends at Climb High , Amber Thapa, Sange Sharpa and many many more which have helped me make my dreams come true…
We wanted to trek for a few days in the Himalayas but not in high altitude. Climb High Himalaya were brilliant at organising and leading the 4 day Skyline Trek which starts and finishes in Pokhara and does not go above 2000 metres. Amber runs the business and is so professional and helpful. You get high quality personal service.
Before travelling to Nepal, Amber sent us detailed information about the trek, maps and a list of equipment. Amber speaks very good English and responded quickly and satisfactorily to all our queries. We were picked up at Kathmandu Airport and taken to the hotel. His office is right in the middle of Thamel so it was very easy to pop in and see him whilst we were staying in Kathmandu. We were always warmly welcomed and provided with coffee. He did his best to advise us on what to see and where to go and helped with arrangements.
The trek, stopping at lodges and homesteads, was a most enjoyable experience with the ever helpful Dawa leading the way and looking after catering. The company take a personal interest in your whole stay in Nepal and drive you to the airport on departure.
