Trip Overview

The Rowaling valley has some beautiful Sherpa villages with cultures still intact. It also has some of the best waterfall climbs in winter and the views of some of the Himalayan peaks are just breathtaking.

One will have to cross the Tashi Lapcha Pass at 5755m, which separates the Rolwaling and Khumbu regions. This is a strenuous journey that should be undertaken by those with high-altitude trekking experience. Temperatures as low as -20 degrees can be expected at higher altitudes, and technical climbing equipment must be carried if the summit of Parchamo Peak is attempted.

Private trek or group option

We can organise this trek on a private basis for groups of friends, families, clubs, charities or any other group. Depending on your previous trekking experience, you may want a Climb High leader or have no ‘leader’ but sill use the help of one of our guides and/or porters. Costs for this option are available on demand but are often not a huge amount greater than joining one of our ‘fixed departures’. Please contact us with your referred dates and itinerary and we’ll give you a quote.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary, but as this is adventure travel in a remote mountain region, please take the itinerary as a statement of intent rather than an absolute.
