Trip Overview:

Also called Parchamo, it lies south of the Tesi Lapcha. The mountain is an attractive and straightforward snow peak with a well defined north by north west ridge rising from the relatively flat, crevassed glacier astride the Tesilapcha. To the west of the ridge the face forms a uniform snow slope broken by crevasses and small seracs rising from the rocky lower buttresses above the Drolambau glacier. It was first climbed in 1955.

If one is up for a challenge, the ascent to the summit of Parchamo Peak at 6273 meters is the one. One will have to cross the Tesi Lapche Pass at 5700 meters, which separates the Rolwaling and Khumbu regions. This is a strenuous journey that should be undertaken by those with high-altitude trekking experience. Temperatures as low as -20 degrees can be expected at higher altitudes, and technical climbing equipment must be carried if the summit of Parchamo Peak is attempted.

Activities: Trekking and Climbing

Meals: Breakfast in Kathmandu and all meals during the trek & climb

Transportation: Domestic flight and private vehicles
